How do I book an appointment?
Take a look through our artists’ portfolio pages to find the artist whose style best matches your vision. All of their contact details are listed on their individual pages. If you’re still unsure or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to us via our contact page, and we’ll be happy to guide you in the right direction!
Can you design the tattoo for me?
Absolutely! Our artists are happy to work with you to create a custom design tailored to your vision. We recommend discussing your ideas with the artist to ensure we capture exactly what you’re looking for. Each artist has their own approach to designing, so feel free to explore their portfolios and contact them directly to get started!
Do I need a Consultation?
Not always, it really depends whether we feel or you feel you need one, if it's a complex or custom design and we feel that we are not on the same wavelength or that we just need to finalise a few things then we will get you booked in for a consultation with the artist. At the consultation we ask you to bring as much reference as possible.
Can I bring my own design?
Yes, it can be anything you like, but it will need to be converted into a tattoo design. Some styles of artwork do not work well as a tattoo. If this is the case we will discuss this with you beforehand. WE WILL NOT REPLICATE ANOTHER TATTOO ARTIST WORK.
How much will my tattoo cost?
It is just impossible to quote a price without seeing a design. Custom tattooing cost varies on the size of your tattoo, the complexity, and where you put it on your body. Once we have an idea of the design we can always give you estimated quote. We charge per piece or by the hour for on going work.
Do you offer free touch ups?
A touch up is offered, free of charge where needed 4-6 weeks after your appointment. Any further alternations will be charged accordingly.
FREE TOUCH UPS WILL NOT BE HONOURED ON FINGERS, HANDS OR FEET.
How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?
You must be 18 years of age and have a photographic ID. We only except passport or photo driving license, anyone who appears under the age of 25 years old we will ask for a copy of your ID, so please make sure you have it with you at the time of your appointment. WE DO NOT TATTOO MINORS WITH OR WITHOUT PARENTAL CONSENT.
Can I have a drink before I come in for my appointment just to calm my nerves?
No if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, under no circumstances will any of the artists tattoo you and you will lose your deposit.
Do I need to put a deposit down to book an appointment?
Yes, we require at least a £50 deposit for you to secure an appointment date. ALL DEPOSITS PAID ARE ‘NON REFUNDABLE' NO DEPOSIT, NO BOOKING! PLEASE NOTE - FOR FULL DAY SITTINGS THE DEPOSIT WILL BE HIGHER.
If I need to rearrange the date of my appointment, how much notice do I need to give and am I going to lose my deposit?
If you need to rearrange your appointment you have to give us at least 72 hours notice (this means 3 working days, tuesday-saturday). Failure to do this WILL result in you losing your deposit.
Do I need to do anything on the day of my tattoo?
On the morning of your tattoo appointment make sure you eat breakfast even if you do not usually. It would also be sensible to not go out drinking the night before or take drugs, alcohol thins your blood which obviously causes you to bleed more throughout your tattoo, it may also cause you to feel faint.
Are you fully licensed and hygienic?
The studio is fully licensed with the Local Environmental Health Department. We have a very strict hygiene regime throughout the studio, after every customer, all machinery, chairs, work surfaces and floors are vigorously cleaned, sterilised or disposed of. All of our tattoo artists are registered and licensed with our local authority. All Licenses are displayed within our premises for our clients to see.
Do you do piercings?
Yes we do, these are by appointments only. For prices and appointments please email piercings@almostangels.co.uk.
What Jewellery do you use?
We only pierce and sell Titanium jewellery within our studio.
How old do I have to be to get a piercing?
Depending on what piercing you are having. You can be pierced at 16 years old without parental consent but you need to have ID with you at your appointment. This must be government issued ID i.e passport or a driving licence. If you are under16 years old but due to our insurance you will need your parent or guardian with you and they must produce THEIR photographic ID. (Nipple and genital piercings are 18 years old).
Can you do cover-ups?
It all depends on the tattoo that you have and what you want to cover it with. Best thing to do is email us over a clear photo of what you already have and what you want to cover it with and we will let you know if it can be done or not.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes, we offer gift vouchers in any amount of your choice.
They can be purchased in our studio or via the store page on our website.
All vouchers are valid for SIX MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE and MUST BE USED WITHIN THIS PERIOD.
PLEASE NOTE:
Vouchers CANNOT be extended past their expiry date.
All vouchers are NON-REFUNDABLE and NOT FOR RESALE.
